Epicerie

The word Epicerie, pronounced Eh-peace-er-ree, finds its roots in the French word "epices" - spices. From the Middle Ages and over the centuries, it became "the" mainly family owned convenience store that had flourished in each village and in city neighborhoods in France.

As population grew, few Epiceries, then, developed as Fine Gourmet Specialty Stores to the pleasure of Gourmets, Gourmands and Epicurians of all age.

Behind Epicerie Fine

Behind Epicerie Fine, there are people, artisans and small companies who perpetuate a noble tradition, a particular know-how and use quality, natural and organic ingredients to fashion their products. It is in this respect that Beatrice and Sami have created Epicerie Fine where they continue to embrace multiculturalism and diversity wherever

the products and the people lead them. Sami, a native of Cairo - Egypt, graduated from the French Culinary Institute in Soho and realized his dream of opening his restaurant in 1996 - Le Rendez-vous Bistro.
Beatrice, a native of Toulouse France, graduated with a BA in Business &Trade and Languages in Toulouse. Her professional experience led to merge her skills in the field of Hospitality.
After living abroad and consulting restaurant businesses and hotels in Saint Martin, Switzerland and around the Red Sea, the couple opens their second restaurant - Au Gre du Vin in Toulouse. Today, at Epicerie Fine, they pass on the culinary heritage they have garnered along their professional and
life experiences here and abroad and continue to contribute on the restaurant scene
